Just 10 Days Left: SongDoor 2008 International Songwriting Competition Ends November 15
Nashville, TN, November 06, 2008 --(PR.com)-- SongDoor 2008 entries must either be postmarked by November 15, 2008 or submitted online by midnight CST, November 15, 2008. All entrants receive a free self-paced online songwriting course at SongU.com, plus a free personal evaluation of each song.
"Free songwriting tools are available to everyone who enters," says SongDoor president Tony Zotta. "We are sincerely interested in helping people be better songwriters - SongDoor is much more than just another song contest." Last year's Grand Award winner, Erinn Sherlock ("Return To You"), currently has a song on hold for Kelly Clarkson of American Idol fame, and the 2006 winner, Sean Clive, won nearly every Unity Award for his song and album entitled "Amazed" after the attention he received for winning SongDoor.
SongDoor 2008 is presented in association with SongU.com, Jay’s Place, Masterwriter, Spring Hill Studio Productions, Broadjam and Digital Rodeo. The prize purse is valued at more than $25,000. Complete entry information is available at http://www.songdoor.com. The entry fee is still only $10.
There are big changes in store for SongDoor 2009. Says Zotta, "The site will be much more interactive next year: collaboration blogs, polls ... we have some big surprises in store as far as judges and awards, and we think everyone is going to be as thrilled as we are." Announcements regarding the site's new features will be announced in February of 2009.
