Chicago Bar Project: Better Than Ever with New Website

Chicago, IL, November 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Chicago Bar Project, serving tavern enthusiasts since 2000, has just launched a new and redesigned website at www.chibarproject.com. You can now find that pub you’ve been looking for thanks to easier navigation, by neighborhood and name, and bar reviews from three new writers as well as several new Chicago drinking features from its creator, Sean Parnell.

Sean Parnell is a drinker with a writing problem that lives in Wrigleyville and has written bar reviews for Esquire Magazine and Time Out, and has led pub crawls for the Chicago History Museum. Parnell has created new Chicago Bar Project features covering Chicago’s late-night watering holes, college bars, haunted pubs, and former speakeasies. Watch for Chicago’s Top Bars for 2008 and a new book written by Parnell that covers Chicago’s most historical taverns coming in early 2009 and published by Lake Claremont Press.

Veronica Wrightwood is a self-described “cougar” and has created the Cougar’s Guide to Chicago. Veronica shares with you where "Cougars" hunt in Chicago, what "Tadpoles” are, and answers many other questions relating to this intriguing urban animal.

Kate Hannigan is an honorary South Sider even though she lives on the Northwest Side in Portage Park. Together with her partner-in-crime husband canvasses the city for her next pint of cider. Hannigan has recently reviewed Mac’s American Pub (Ukrainian Village), McNamara’s Food & Drink (Portage Park) and Gilhooley’s Grande Saloon (Mt. Greenwood).

“Wrong or Write” Randy Kohl is a Streetervillain and shows a great deal of courage by exploring (and reviewing) the depths of Timothy O’Toole’s (Streeterville), the dive-y-ness of Rossi’s Liquors (River North), the literary qualities of Chinaski’s (Bucktown), and even the secrets behind Burp Castle (Manhattan), and that’s just the beginning…

Now more than ever, the Chicago Bar Project is the ideal guide for your next night out in Chicago, whether reveling in Barack Obama’s election victory, wallowing in self-pity because of the financial crisis, or simply for getting new ideas of where to go on your next adventure. Chicago Bar Project is also the city’s #1 resource for bachelor and bachelorette party planning, finding where to watch college football and basketball games from your alma mater, and the nearest bar with a late-night liquor license. Many relieve their single lives in the Chicago Bar Project’s “Gone but not Forgotten” section, and you can further your education in the Inebriate Arts before going out by perusing the “Pre-Gaming” section. Cheers.
