Rainbow Wedding Network's New Magazine Celebrates Same Sex Marriage and GLBT Families
Rainbow Wedding Network Magazine is dedicated to providing a link between Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender couples and their families and GLBT-friendly wedding and family planning professionals.
New York, NY, June 05, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Same sex marriage has been a controversial and hot topic during the last four years. In response to this ever-changing political, social and personal issue and to celebrate same sex relationships Rainbow Wedding Network (RWN) has launched its first full color, quarterly magazine, Rainbow Wedding Network Magazine. RWN is dedicated to providing a link between Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) couples and families and GLBT friendly wedding and family planning professionals.
Each issue of RWN Magazine includes interviews, marriage equality news, tips for weddings and honeymoons, current wedding trends, political reports, family and parenting information, along with a directory of business professionals nationwide who support GLBT rights. Many issues will be published in conjunction with special events produced by Rainbow Wedding Network, the Same Love, Same Rights™ GLBT Wedding and Family Expos. Expos have been held this year in Atlanta, Boston and Hartford and are scheduled for Seattle and Philadelphia.
RWN has educated the public about same-sex marriage, GLBT families, parenting rights and health issues for five years and provided online support and services to GLBT couples throughout the United States and Canada. RainbowWeddingNetwork.com was the nation’s first gay and lesbian wedding gift registry and online directory, launched in 2000. RainbowWeddingNetwork.com currently includes over 5000 vendors in its directory throughout the United States and Canada and all are individually screened as GLBT-friendly. In 2003 RWN expanded to include the Same Love, Same Rights™ Wedding and Family Expos and the company currently produces five expos each year. In 2005 RWN launched a sister website http://www.RainbowWeddingExpo.com. In the spring of 2006 a web site specifically for the magazine was also launched, http://www.RainbowWeddingNetworkMagazine.com. Plans for a RainbowWeddingNetwork.com redesign are in the works for 2007.
"The idea of a magazine has been in our plans for a long time," states co-founder Cindy Sproul. "Our online audience is very enthused about this additional resource, and our advertisers are thrilled at the new opportunity to reach the GLBT wedding market." "We knew our company would grow from the beginning," adds co-founder Marianne Puechl, "It takes time, but equal rights for everyone is the future of our country and our society." RWN Magazine is available online and in bookstores, cafes, offices and other locations across the country. Yearly subscriptions are available online.
