Windermere Pacific Coast Properties Cleans Up During La Mesa Appreciation Day

San Diego, CA, November 08, 2008 --(PR.com)-- As part of Windermere Real Estate’s network-wide Community Service Day, Windermere Pacific Coast Properties joined with the City of La Mesa and the La Mesa Parks Department to help clean-up and re-plant some of the city’s parks during La Mesa Appreciation Day held on Saturday, October 25th.

Over 25 agents, from both Windermere Pacific Coast Properties’ La Mesa and Point Loma offices, met with trash bags, shovels and plants to clean and re-plant the Memorial Garden located at the intersection of University and Memorial and the planters around Porter Hall.

“Our agents are dedicated to the neighborhoods in which we live and work,” said Windermere Pacific Coast president Brian Arrington. “Community Service Day allows us to come together as a group and share our dedication to our communities while making a lasting difference.”

“Many of us live and work in La Mesa,” added Laura Lothian, an agent at Windermere’s La Mesa office. “It really brings us closer together when we can do something to help improve the parks for all of our families.”

Created in 1984, Windermere’s Community Service Day is nationally recognized as a model hands-on volunteer program. The company also commits to community involvement throughout the year with agents and staff dedicating personal funds and time to the Windermere Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization supporting children and families in need. Since its inception in 1989, the Windermere Foundation has raised more than $18.5 million, including $2.2 million in 2007, to support countless service programs and organizations aimed at these populations.

Windermere Real Estate was founded in 1972 and has grown to become the leading real estate company in the West, with over 250 offices servicing 11 states. Arrington owns two Windermere offices, one in Point Loma located at Liberty Station, and the other in La Mesa on La Mesa Boulevard.
