Expert Panel to Address the Impact of Green Building on the Industry
“Implications of the Green Mega Trend and Its Impact on Your Business” Round Table presentation to be held at Building Industry Show on November 13.
Los Angeles, CA, November 08, 2008 --(PR.com)-- To address the opportunities and pitfalls of transforming building industry businesses into “greener” organizations, the Building Industry Show (BIS) has invited a blue ribbon panel to analyze the short and long term affects of the building industry-wide change.
“Implications of the Green Mega Trend and its Impact on Your Business” will be one of the highlighted seminars at the upcoming builder’s conference and will feature four experts in the areas of certification, implementation, risk management and communication.
"It's no longer a niche market. Environmentally-responsible building is the next paradigm shift that will define the industry," said Steve Fabry, the forum's moderator and CEO of documentation firm Compendia, said. “This presentation is not so much about the benefits of installing solar panels or recycling in the workplace as it is a blueprint of best practices towards maintaining relevancy with homeowners and shareholders alike.”
Fabry will be joined by Brian Gitt, CEO/Executive Director of Build It Green, Mark Johnson, Vice President of Customer Care for leading green builder Gerding Edlen and Tim Corbett, President of SmartRisk.
The November 13th program explores the effects of rapid rise of the green residential and commercial market and shares best practices that can position a builder for future success. The panel will guide builders and developers towards a clearer understanding of the opportunities and potential pitfalls of green building including certification, implementation, risk management and communication.
The 90-minute presentation will cover the four major business elements of “going green." Certification addresses the necessary requirements of what distinguishes a green-registered home and its market benefits. Implementation delves into the true costs and processes of designing, developing and building a sustainable green building project. Risk management addresses the new potential for increased risk and liability builder may incur. Communication deals with the best practices and of delivering key education, maintenance, warranty and other integrity-critical information to the homeowner.
Each of the panelists was chosen for their expertise in their field. Their considerable depth of experience will benefit attendees and contribute to their faster transition and response to the greening demands within the current and future market.
