Clean Solar to Offer Certification Courses for Solar Installation

San Jose, CA, November 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Clean Solar, a leader in solar power installation based in San Jose, CA, is teaching a course on photovoltaic system installation at the Metropolitan Education District (MetroEd) starting November 4, 2008. MetroEd is the largest career-oriented education organization in Santa Clara County. The course titled Solar Applications & Installation, is a 9 week course, a total of 54 hours of instruction. The course comprises of 70% hands-on/lab and 30% lecture, and aims to provide an overview of the basic concepts of solar technology, safety, and installation of photovoltaic solar units. A certification of installation completion will be provided to all qualified students.

Clean Solar will also teach a similar course in the winter semester, which will be NABCEP approved, and will offer the NABCEP Entry Level exam for PV at the conclusion of the course. In addition, Clean Solar has accepted a board position on a task force at MetroEd, which is aiming to switch the curriculum at the vocational school to a “greener” agenda.
