Professional Wardrobe Hosts Annual Fundraiser…This Year Its a Fashion Auction
Professional Wardrobe, the nonprofit organization that provides business clothing and career support to low-income jobseekers in the New Haven County, is hosting its annual fundraising event at New Haven Museum & Historical Society, 114 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, CT on December 12 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The show will feature clients as models and a fashion display auction to benefit the organization’s efforts to help low-income jobseekers secure employment and become economically independent.
New Haven, CT, November 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Fashion Auction Event, which carries a theme of ‘100 Suits for Campaign’ celebrates the success of past clients of Professional Wardrobe, acknowledges the generosity of the organization’s supporters, and highlights the transformative power of clothing.
“It is incredibly gratifying to see our clients display the confidence and self-esteem that they gain from receiving professional clothing and resume assistance from our volunteers,” said Storme, Professional Wardrobe’s Executive Director. “This event allows us to share the excitement and transformation that happens every time we work with a client, and to thank our community for helping us make this kind of impact.”

Additionally, the Fashion Auction, which will feature two wedding gowns, mother of the bride gown, evening gowns and men wear. The evening will include live music, wine and cheese, hor d'oeuvres, donated by Ultimate Care Nursing, located in West Haven, CT. A raffle, which will include a Dell Laptop computer, Abstract Art Painting, a Sirrus Satellite Radio with free installation card and a Malibu Pilates Exercise Machine. Funds raised from this event will support Professional Wardrobe’s mission to help jobseekers overcome the barriers that may prevent them from becoming employed.
