Women Presidents Predict Growth Through Outsourcing And Business Acquisition
Presidents Of Multimillion-Dollar Corporations See Economic Optimism For Remainder Of 2006.
New York, NY, May 31, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Women presidents and CEO’s of multi-million dollar companies are expecting to see growth in both revenues and employees in 2006, according to the Economic Survey conducted by the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO). WPO surveyed its membership and found that respondents expect the greatest growth in their businesses to occur through outsourcing and business acquisition. They predict the growth from 2005 to continue into 2006, with 60% of the women planning to hire additional employees over the next year. The greatest concerns for the women presidents are health insurance costs and hiring skilled and qualified staff. The biggest expenses of the year were payroll, office space, benefits and technology.
For 2005, WPO members experienced success and profitability in a variety of areas:
· 82% of WPO members had between 1- 50% increased revenues
· 73% of WPO members experienced increased profits
· 72% of WPO members spent more than $250,000 on salaries & bonuses
· 64% of WPO members met or exceeded revenue goals
· 59% of WPO members met or exceeded profit goals
· 55% of WPO members increased workforce by 1-50%
· 52% of WPO members added 1- 25 plus employees
Additional economic growth is attributed to the following predictions of the WPO members surveyed:
· 90% of WPO members expect to be profitable
· 85% of WPO members plan to raise salaries 2-10% of payroll
· 66% of WPO members plan to add international locations
· 50% of WPO members plan to add offices domestically
· 50% of WPO members plan to acquire new businesses
“WPO members contribute significantly to the U.S. economy and work to maintain excellent benefits for their employees,” said Marsha Firestone, Ph.D., president of the WPO. “Our Economic Survey indicates that there was an overall increase in performance in the areas of revenue, profit, and employment. If our members are any indication of the overall state of other business owners, Americans have every right to be optimistic about the upcoming economic year.”
