Kap’s Pepper Company’s line of award-winning peppered jellies are now available at EatGreenDFW.com, north Texas’ only on-line farmers market.
Dallas, TX, November 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Kap’s Pepper Company’s line of award-winning peppered jellies are now available at EatGreenDFW.com, north Texas’ only on-line farmers market.
The line includes three award-winning products --Very Berry Habañero, Tropical Fruit Habañero and Black Cherry Jalapeño jellies.
Very Berry Habañero and Tropical Fruit Habañero Jellies won top honors at "Chile Pepper Magazine's" Fiery Food Zest Fest's 10th Anniversary, while Very Berry Habañero and Black Cherry Jalapeno Jelly received the "Hot Pepper" Internet Magazine's 2007 Award for the "Sweet Condiment" category, finishing 1st and 2nd respectively.
In addition to the award winners, Kap’s offers seven other jellies that pair the sweetness of apricots, cranberries, mangoes, peaches, raspberries, strawberries and an assortment of tropical fruit with homegrown jalapeño and Habañero peppers.
“Kap’s began growing peppers in the backyard in 1993,” explained Kap’s owner, Ira Heid, “and there was such a bumper crop that Kap’s decided to experiment with different ways of using them. The peppered jellies were such a hit with family and friends the founders decided to start a new company to market them.”
Kap’s also offers a spicy Jamaican Jerk Marinade made from a blend of fresh Habañero peppers, onion, garlic and other herbs and spices that is also available at EatGreenDFW.com.
“Kap’s is exactly the kind of local producer that we want to highlight on our site,” explained EatGreenDFW.com co-owner Rich Shoen. “The product was literally developed from a backyard in North Texas. We’re proud the company has chosen us to help their products reach a wider market.”
EatGreenDFW.com is North Texas’ first on-line farmer’s market. Officially launched in September, it currently offers products from 13 producers including pasture-raised beef and free-range chicken.
