Global Sustainability Forum Comes to California, Aleem Desai of Pierce College to Attend
Students and Leaders from all over the world come to major conference.
Los Angeles, CA, December 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Pamela Brown, who recently ran for California State Assembly woman, has designated Aleem A. Desai, of over 2,000 Pierce College attendees, to grace his presence at Athgo International’s Global Innovation Forum that is coming to the University of California Los Angeles in early March 2009.
Athgo International hosts three global forums annually in efforts to shed light upon pressing global issues, their analysis and feasible solutions. The four-day full event aggregates individuals from around the globe, which include reputable scientists, United Nations diplomats, and a variety of high-end corporate executives. The debates explore conjectural and sensible resolutions to international environmental concerns. These programs transpire innovative, fresh and impartial business schemes and procedural propositions devised by young participants, such as Desai, and the individual exhibiting the most aptitude and flair is awarded with advantageous erudition of $15,000 per occasion to showcase their genius talents which may lead to corporate adoption of their idea and tremendously prosperous career opportunities and advancement.

Aleem A. Desai is a current student at Pierce College. Desai has been selected to attend the Athgo conference of Global Sustainability. Desai is a Dean’s list student and currently is part of the Honors Program. Outside of academia, he currently does strategy consulting and focus on corporate restructurings & turnarounds.
About Dr. Pam Brown
Pamela J. Brown is a professor of economics at Los Angeles Pierce College. She received a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University in 1988. In spring of 2009, Dr. Brown will coach her students in Model United Nations debates, symposia and conferences that result in scholarship awards and internship opportunities. Dr. Brown currently serves on the Pierce College Academic Senate, the LA Community College District Academic Senate, and several local and statewide committees.
