StraighterLine to Exhibit at CAEL 2008 International Conference
Washington, DC, November 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- StraighterLine (www.straighterline.com), a new online education solution that provides students a high quality, better supported, and lower cost way to obtain college credits through regionally accredited colleges and universities, has announced that its representatives will participate in the CAEL 2008 International Conference Nov. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center in Philadelphia. The event, which features workshops, exhibits and informational sessions on adult learning and workforce development, as well as addresses by featured speakers such as political journalist Dick Polman, attracts hundreds of participants from businesses and institutes of higher learning in the United States and beyond.
StraighterLine will have an exhibit at the convention displaying banners for both StraighterLine and SMARTHINKING, Inc., the parent company of StraighterLine. The convention’s theme is “Lifelong Learning: Building Pathways to Independence.”
Currently StraighterLine’s curriculum consists of six entry-level courses for students of any age where credit can be transferred as well as two developmental courses that will help students to prepare for the entry level courses. The six entry-level courses are College Algebra, English Composition I, Accounting I, Accounting II, Economics I: Macroeconomics and Economics II: Microeconomics, and the developmental courses are Introductory Algebra and Developmental Writing. More courses are planned for the future.
