Paradise Earth Hires Charlavan Mandarich as Co-Host of Weekly Rainforest Educational Television Series

Paradise Earth hires Charlavan Mandarich to co-host weekly television series, which will tour rainforests throughout the world, highlighting conservation and environmental issues. Mandarich Media Group released the announcement today.

Phoenix, AZ, November 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Paradise Earth announced today that Charlavan Mandarich of Mandarich Media Group has been hired to co-host its rainforest educational television series.

The series will feature Paradise Earth creator and visionary, David Calvin, and Mrs. Mandarich, as the team tours the world’s rainforests, highlighting conservation and environmental issues.

“I'm very excited about working with Char (Mandarich). She brings to the series not only her extensive rainforest knowledge, but her passion for rainforest conservation,” Calvin said.

Media Solutions West, the producer of the popular documentary, “Arizona Highways”, hosted by journalist, Robin Sewell, is producing the series. Twenty-six, half hour episodes will be available fall of 2009.

As Char comments, "My passion is in environmental issues and this series gives David and I the opportunity to share their amazing treasures with viewers, and hopefully increase conservation awareness for Earth’s rainforests."

Paradise Earth, a 195,000 sq. ft attraction, will house a living rainforest habitat, a 1,000-seat conference center, a medical research facility, educational materials, and environmentally friendly products such as alternative fuel vehicles and energy saving products. Its main goal is to promote public education on issues such as rainforest conservation, ecology, environmental protection and recycling.

About David Calvin:
David Calvin is the owner of development firm Calvin Enterprises, has over twenty-five years of experience as a successful entrepreneur, and has been involved with several government agencies including the Potomac Institute of Research. Calvin moved from his position as the leading insurance salesman in the US in 1974 for Mutual of Omaha into oil exploration and development. From 1980, Calvin ran JRC Oil before selling to Snyder Oil in 1985. Subsequent to that sale, Calvin developed Bataa Oil into the leading independent oil producer in Colorado, with 350 wells. Bataa was sold to Merit Energy in 2001. The Greeley, CO entrepreneur is active in philanthropic endeavors, most notably in educational environments, from the Paradise Earth habitat in Arizona to funding a local independent charter school and serving in an active role in several charitable organizations.

About Charlavan Mandarich:
Charlavan (Char) Mandarich was born in Ottumwa, Iowa and graduated Magna cum Laude from Michigan State University in 1989, with a degree in biochemical engineering. After graduation, Char worked as a chemist for Wyett-Ayerst Laboratories (a division of American Home Products). During her ten-year tenure with Wyett-Ayerst, she quickly advanced to the highest-level chemist in the company’s operation.
