Hydrafcient Annonuces New Upgraded Water Fuel Cell Kit
Hydraficient announces new product version which enables better fuel efficiency and easier installation on diesel and gas vehicles.
Tualatin, OR, November 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Hydraficient LLC today introduced the new Water Fuel Cell Kit, improving on the original Water Fuel Cell with a new electrode that produces hydrogen three times as fast as the previous model resulting in better fuel efficiency. Along with the redesigned electrode, Hydraficient has redesigned its Electronics Pack to include its Adaptive Oxygen Sensor Management technology. The Adaptive Oxygen Sensor Management allows the Water Fuel Cell to work on a wider range of vehicles. The new Water Fuel Cell also features a smaller casing and easier installation. The Water Fuel Cell’s price will remain unchanged at an affordable $395.
Hydraficient has been working on updating the design since the launch of the original Water Fuel Cell. The company had solicited feedback from owners of the original Hydraficient Water Fuel Cell and incorporated the information into the updated design and features.
“Just six months after launching the original Water Fuel Cell, we’re launching this version that is three times as efficient without extra cost,” said Mike VanPelt Director of Sales for Hydraficient. “We listened to the feedback of our customers and were able to use some of their suggestions in designing the new Water Fuel Cell.”
"Traditionally Hydrogen-on-Demand generators have required the addition of harsh chemicals and a lot of electricity. The Water Fuel Cell uses tap water and minimal amounts of power," said Tony Schwartz, Hydraficient’s Founder. "We've redesigned the Water Fuel Cell from the ground up including the electronics pack with its Adaptive Oxygen Sensor Management. The Adaptive Oxygen Sensor Management technology results in better fuel efficiency and less emissions on older, newer, foreign, and domestic cars. Only Hydraficient has this level of technology available to make Hydrogen help all vehicles."
The new Water Fuel Cell has a smaller form-factor than the original standing roughly 7” tall, 2.5” wide and 3.5” deep. The size reduction allows it to fit under the hood of most vehicles. The electrode for the Water Fuel Cell has been updated to produce more hydrogen in a smaller form factor. Using between 5 and 8 amps of power, the redesigned electrode is able to produce at least three times more hydrogen than the previous version. The Water Fuel Cell also includes an attached a water level sensor and pump, an install kit, and a 2 liter reservoir. Hydraficient has made it easier to install the Water Fuel Cell reducing the amount of connections and adding quick connects to the wiring.
The original Water Fuel Cell was designed for gas engines and did not work on diesel engines. The new Water Fuel Cell works on both diesel and gas engines. The semi truck version is due next week.
