The Wine School Announces New Wine Programs for 2009

Embark on a thorough wine education at The Wine School.

Philadelphia, PA, November 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- This winter, students can embark on a wine education by enrolling at The Wine School.

New students to the school begin with the Foundation Certificate Program. This is an eight week course specifically designed by The Wine School to emphasize sensory evaluation, learn the thumb-prints of all major varietals, and debunk the many myths surrounding wine. Students are transformed into superior wine tasters, often out-scoring sommeliers and wine professionals in the final blind tasting exam.

The brand new Certificate of Global Wine Studies is an intensive exploration of the world of wine. The student is immersed into the viticulture, economy, geology and history of every major wine region. Along with the Foundation program, the Global Wine Studies Program is a complete education in wine studies. The program can either be taken with our without the Foundation Program. Taking both programs together has shown to be the most effective means to attain a complete wine education.

Two new Advanced Programs have also been unveiled for the quickly approaching 2009 Winter Semester. The first is the Modern Winemaking Advanced Program with Keith Wallace, and the second is the Advanced Northern Italy program. These programs are available for students who have completed both the Foundation Certificate Program and the Certificate of Global Wine Studies Program.

With its respectable cache of instructors and its arresting approach to wine, The Wine School stands at the forefront of what has become a steadily growing field of study. The Foundation and Intermediate Programs were designed to provide a solid bedrock for anyone wanting to attain a higher knowledge and appreciation of wine - be they experienced or new to the world of wine.
