PACKEX Toronto and EquipNet Host First-Ever, Live Auction Event
Canada’s premier packaging trade show, PACKEX Toronto, is partnering with EquipNet, Inc, to host the first-ever onsite, live auction of packaging, food processing, material handling, and converting equipment, right from the show floor.
Toronto, Canada, November 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Canada’s premier packaging trade show, PACKEX Toronto, is announcing a revolutionary event debuting at the 2009 exhibition. Partnering with EquipNet, Inc, the show will feature the first-ever onsite, live auction of packaging, food processing, material handling, and converting equipment, right from the show floor.
To produce this groundbreaking event, PACKEX Toronto/IPA Canada organizers are teaming up with EquipNet, the world’s leading provider of surplus asset management services and a packaging equipment auction specialist. Attendees in the exhibit hall will be joined by bidders across the globe via a simultaneous webcast event. PACKEX Toronto/IPA Canada runs May 5 - 7, 2009 and the auction will be held throughout the day on May 7.
"This is an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to increase their visibility and potential leads," explains Maria Migliozzi, Operations Manager for PACKEX Toronto/IPA Canada. "It's also a great way to increase participation in the show by attracting visitors looking for equipment at competitive prices.”
On the final day of the show, a section of the exhibition hall will be transformed into a live auction site with a lot of excitement and opportunities to get a great deal. Attendees and webcast participants will be able to bid on returned, refurbished, and floor-model packaging equipment from OEMs as well as pre-owned machines from end-user manufacturers. Those who are not in the market for a large purchase can bid on smaller items and/or participate in the extracurricular activities surrounding the auction, which will include lots of prizes and fun.
“The entire EquipNet Auction Team is thrilled to be involved with this premier event," explained Tom Noonan, EquipNet's Global Auction Leader. “We look forward to taking our high-energy, professional auction style to the live conference atmosphere of PACKEX Toronto and then duplicating its success at other shows in the future.”
EquipNet will gather items for the lot catalog up until late April. Exhibitors have already begun to sign up to participate.
