Samurai Karate Studio, located at 2000 Clemson Road, Suite # 9, Columbia, SC 29229, is holding a canned food drive to support Harvest Hope Food Bank, a local food bank that supports the city of Columbia and neighboring suburbs. For those people who drop off 10 canned food items, they will be eligible for two private lessons and a Free week of karate classes at SKS, a $100.00 value.

Samurai Karate Studio is currently sponsoring a canned food drive for Harvest Hope Food Bank, that is a local food bank that supports the city of Columbia and neighboring suburbs.
According to a recent article in The State News Paper, this food pantry has only collected 30% of its needs for the upcoming holiday season.
Sensei Chris Feldt, owner and chief instructor of Samurai Karate Studio commented, "These are very difficult economic times we are in; probably the worst that I can ever remember." "People are losing their jobs, gas prices are unstable, the rising cost of food, and the declining home market; have created a "perfect storm". Right now, too many families have to make the choice between eating or paying their mortgage, or electric bill or buying prescriptions!"
That's where Harvest Hope Food Bank comes in. This organization has been serving the Columbia area for over 25 years. Last year they distributed over 19 million pounds of food to the local communities.
They need your help? Please go through your food closet or pantry and select some items that can be donated to the food bank.
For every person that makes a donation of 10 or more canned food items (or non perishable) to Samurai Karate Studio, that person will be eligible for two private lessons and a Free week of unlimited karate classes.
According to Sensei Feldt, "We want to make it easy for people to donate and in return, they will be rewarded with 2 private lesson and a Free week of classes." This special package is valued at $100.00! "During that week, they can attend as many classes as they would like and see the positive physical and mental benefits that the martial arts offers!"
