Wake County Economic Development (WCED) Assistant Executive Director to Speak at Women’s Edge Luncheon
Raleigh, NC, November 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Ken Atkins, executive director for Wake County Economic Development (WCED) (www.raleigh-wake.org), has announced that Conni Tucker, assistant executive director for WCED, will be speaking at the Women’s Edge “View From The Edge” luncheon on Friday, Nov. 21 from 11:15 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Capital City Club, located in the Progress Energy Building at 410 S. Wilmington St. In her “Wake County” Smarter All Around” presentation, Tucker will offer insight into what WCED is doing to attract new businesses and jobs to Wake County as well as explain what industries the organization would like to bring to the Triangle.
Donations from the luncheon will benefit Dress For Success, an organization that provides business attire for economically disadvantaged women for job interviews and the foundations for professional work wardrobe.
