Nannies Sharpen Skills in Soft Job Market
Atlanta, GA, November 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Employees and job seekers alike are looking to increase their value in hopes of keeping the job they have or getting the jobs they want. A Friend of the Family Home Services, Inc., an in-home childcare and adult care referral service, offered an opportunity for all nannies and in home care providers to hone their skills during the agency's Professional Development Day on November 8, 2008. The free workshop, entitled "Polished, Professional and In Demand," provided nannies with the knowledge to present themselves as more confident and capable.
In addition to childcare skills, in home care providers also learned how to be more supportive to busy families by strengthening their interpersonal skills. Although nurturing children is their main focus, Nannies and Caregivers who provide childcare in the home offer more value to families than childcare. A Friend of the Family plans to continue educating caregivers on topics which will help them get and keep their dream job.
