Arizona Business Explores International Match-Ups
Cave Creek, AZ, November 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- When Monique Rider, owner of BodyLife Dynamics, LLC, says she’s taking on the world with her business efforts, she isn’t joking. Last week Rider met with eight Chinese and one international business at meetings that led the Arizona business woman to Shanghai, China.
Rider’s efforts were not in vain. She left China with a signed contract with one of the nine companies she met with, and is in the middle of negotiations with four others. Although it may seem extreme for small businesses to attempt to build relationships internationally, today’s global market provides, literally, a world of opportunities for small businesses.
These meetings were the result of efforts by the Department of Commerce Export Division in Tucson, AZ. They partnered with the U.S. Consulates in Shanghai and Hangzhou to provide these match-making meetings.
According to Rider, who worked with company leaders in China mostly through translators, “The Chinese are very eager to partner with U.S. companies and to learn the Western way of doing business. I found the Chinese to be extremely polite, hospitable, and gracious.”
Rider’s work in China adds to her training and coaching capabilities by provider her with a wider range of knowledge and skills she can share with her clients in the United States and abroad.
