About the Book (Excerpts & Info)

This researcher found that answers to his questions as to the historicity of the book only led to more questions. Was it God who advised Nephi to kill Laban? Or was it John 11:50. Were the Plates of Brass real? Were the plates of Nephi real gold or were they a light weight alloy? These questions and others drove me to search for the truth if it was to be found in the Book of Mormon. My search was for the truth and nothing else. Hopefully, my book and charts will assist you in finding this most important element in life, The Truth.

Deftly constructed at 74 pages, Chronology of the Book of Mormon Records: An In-depth Look is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Religion/ History category. About the Author

The author is an 86-year-old veteran of World War II, with over two years service in the North African Theater of Operations (August 1942 to December 1944.) He is the father of four daughters and one son by his only ever sweetheart, Billie, who died, after nearly fifty-five years of marriage, in September, 1999. Although he did not finish high school, he completed a course in Airplane Mechanics at Kessler Field, Mississippi, in May 1942, and was later promoted to Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He received his Honorable Discharge from the service in November 1945. After his marriage to Billie, in 1946, he decided to take a course in electrical engineering from International Correspondence Schools, and although he did not complete the course he gained enough education in the subject to later become a master electrician. While taking this course, he was using his "G.I. Bill of Rights" to obtain his private pilots license. Ray was born and raised in Texas, but he and Billie, a proud Texan, (and children) moved to Nevada in 1954, where he worked as an I.B.E.W. electrician until he opened his own electrical contracting firm in January 1959. The business was successful, but he saw real estate as a good investment in both time and money and closed the business in 1976. His thirst for education continued, and in May 1983 he enrolled in Clark County Community College for classes in the legal field. In May 1987 he received his Associate of Applied Science-Legal Assistant degree. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on December 13, 1958 and was an active member. But the mathematics of ages of the record keepers bothered him. His feeling was that they were real, but his research told him that something was wrong. This led him to produce the charts and this research paper, without animosity toward the church or the Book of Mormon, but only with determination to know the truth and be free of doubt. Mission accomplished? He only says, "Not yet."
