John G. Ziebarth Joins SfL+a Architects
Charlotte, NC, December 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- SfL+a Architects (www.sfla.biz), has announced that John G. Ziebarth, AIA, has joined the firm as Project Manager. In this position, Ziebarth will oversee the design, management and coordination of multiple complex projects, and is responsible for creating sustainable, energy efficient high-performance public school facilities, in addition to other private sector projects.
Ziebarth’s professional career encompasses more than 20 years as a registered architect. He worked for 12 years at firms based in Sarasota, Fla., including Parker Group Architects, Inc. and Johnson Peterson Architects, Inc. While in Florida, his experience was concentrated on K-12 public educational facilities, local and national franchise restaurants, manufacturing and industrial facilities, private practice medical offices and branch bank facilities. Prior to joining SfL+a Architects, Ziebarth led his own architectural practice in Highlands, N.C., designing custom residential and commercial building projects, completing more than 160 projects with an estimated construction value in excess of $46 million.
Professional affiliations held by Ziebarth include the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the American Institute of Architects of North Carolina (AIANC), and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He served as Chapter Secretary for the AIA Florida Gulf Cast Chapter, and was founder and president of the organization’s Young Architects Forum. Ziebarth earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati, and a pre-architecture program certificate from Syracuse University. He is a registered architect in North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Ziebarth and his wife Cheryl are new residents of Charlotte.
