Cosmetology 101 Salon/Education Center Placed 9th in Global Hair Care Contest, Offering Intro to Cosmetology Workshop

Providence, RI, December 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Sandra Casey Owner & Founder of Cosmetology 101 is also a licensed cosmetology instructor. Cosmetology 101's most recent accomplishments are placing 9th in the international Style_Stars Hair contest in London October 2008 sponsored by Yellow Strawberry Salons.

For those who are interested in becoming cosmetologists but not sure if they have what it takes or want to commit to the profession. Cosmetology 101 now offers general haircare and Intro to cosmetology workshops.

Included in workshops: introduction to implements and tools (brushes, combs, clippers). introduction to hair textures, introduction to basic hairstyling.

Cosmetologist that want to freshen up old skills or learn new techniques are also welcomed to the advanced/entry level workshops. Students can enroll as soon as January 15th 2009 for classes.

These workshops help anyone learn different types of hair care and maintenance techniques. Students will be able to identify if cosmetology is a career they will consider before costly tuition fees.
