Steven Cash Forms Deck Prism – a Consultancy
To focus on National Security, Homeland Security, Law Enforcement and Government Affairs
Cabin John, MD, December 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Steven Cash, formerly Chief Counsel to Senator Dianne Feinstein and a Principal and Counsel with the international management consulting firm PRTM, today announced the formation of Deck Prism, a consultancy focusing on national security, homeland security and law enforcement, and government affairs.
A lawyer for nearly two decades, Cash possesses skills in areas critical to today's political and legal environment: legislative and policy experience on Capitol Hill, counterterrorism and homeland security expertise, legal and operational experience at the CIA, and investigative and trial skills developed as a New York City prosecutor.
Cash served as Chief Counsel and Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology & Homeland Security of the Judiciary Committee, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Ranking Member, before joining PRTM Management in 2006. As a Principal at PRTM, Cash provided senior-level advice to government clients throughout the national security and homeland security communities. Cash is a graduate of Vassar College and Yale Law School. He has served with distinction as an Assistant District Attorney for the legendary Robert M. Morgenthau, District Attorney of New York County, and as an Assistant General Counsel for the Central Intelligence Agency. Between 1995 and 2001, he served as an Intelligence Officer in the CIA’s Directorate of Operations, and then held a number of senior positions on Capitol Hill prior to his service on the Judiciary Committee, including Professional Staff and Counsel on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and Staff Director of the House of Representatives Select Committee on Homeland Security.
Deck Prism, with offices in the Washington D.C. area and in New York City, will provide an array of services, including strategic advisory and government affairs consulting, to both private and government clients. “Deck Prism, along with my legal practice, will allow me to provide a unique blend of capabilities to clients. By combining legal experience, the lessons learned on Capitol Hill, and my operational experience as a prosecutor and intelligence officer, I offer knowledgeable perspective, and valuable counsel to government agencies and departments, as well as private businesses.”
Cash is also the founder of a law practice with offices in Washington, D.C. and New York City, Steven A. Cash, Attorney-at-Law, PLLC. He is an Adjunct Professor at American University, where he teaches “Introduction to the U.S. Intelligence Community.” He has been invited to speak on intelligence and homeland security issues at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and at Vassar College, as well as on panels in Washington, D.C.
