MySleepMask Bans All Chinese-Manufactured CPAP Equipment
Due to health risk concerns, MySleepMask.com, has banned all Chinese-manufactured CPAP machines, CPAP masks and CPAP supplies from its website in a formal recognition of the need to safeguard customers’ health.
Vancouver, WA, December 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- MySleepMask.com, the leading CPAP compliance specialist and ResMed Preferred Internet Provider, announced today a new policy to not sell any CPAP machines or CPAP masks manufactured in China.
Weston Headley, Chief Operating Officer of MySleepMask.com stated, “A number of companies are now offering CPAP machines and masks manufactured in China, because of their cheap prices. However, given recent announcements about consumer risks from Chinese manufactured goods – including lead and other poisonous contaminations – we have decided to formally ban all such CPAP equipment.”
The policy will go into effect immediately at its website: http://www.MySleepMask.com
Headley went on to state, “MySleepMask has always preferred quality machines from ResMed, Fisher & Paykel, and Respironics, because of their therapeutic benefits, higher reliability and greater patient comfort. There is now another reason, because these are manufactured in the United States, Australia, New Zealand or other developed countries with stringent consumer-safety laws in place.”
He continued, “It simply makes no sense to wear a CPAP mask from another, second-rate manufacturer that doesn’t need to follow consumer safety laws. CPAP therapy is supposed to help patient health – not put it at risk.”
About MySleepMask.com: The premier provider of both CPAP equipment and CPAP coaching, MySleepMask.com is an authorized dealer of Resmed, Respironics, and Fisher & Paykel products. It is also a Resmed Preferred Internet Provider and one of the National Apnea Association’s Recommended Partners in Care. MySleepMask.com is a trademark of MySleepMask, LLC. To increase public awareness of CPAP chronic care issues, it also provides free educational materials to patients, physicians and various healthcare institutions. MySleepMask is a trademarked name. 877-272-7807. http://www.MySleepMask.com
