Beamways Invited to Present Podcars at Google
Mountain View, CA, December 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Bengt Gustafsson, CEO of Beamways and one of the most well-known ambassadors for podcars (also known as Personal Rapid Transit) in Sweden and worldwide, presented the podcar concept and current projects on November 20 at the Google campus in Mountain View, California. The presentation was well received and the audience interest has been high both at Google and afterwards. Mr. Gustafsson did a calculation showing that a podcar network on the Google campus would be profitable thanks to the reduction in working time lost on moving around the campus. The larger the network, the greater the variation in travel pattern, the more problem with traffic, the larger need for investments in current transport systems – the more profitable a PRT project will be.
