Child Predator Safety Educator Pattie Fitzgerald Set to Guest on "Peas In Their Pods" Radio Webcast
Santa Monica, CA, December 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Pattie Fitzgerald, child predator safety educator and founder of Safely Ever After, Inc., will be a guest on "Peas In Their Pods" – a radio webcast educating parents and the general public about child abductions and how to prevent them. Hosted by Gaétane Borders and co-hosted by Janice Lowery, the live interview will air Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. CST, on BlogTalkRadio.
Ms. Fitzgerald, whose educational approach focuses on empowerment and non-fearful tactics ("safe-smarts"), will discuss "red flags every parent should know about," the "Super 10 Rules," Internet safety, and teaching kids about physical and emotional boundaries. She will also share some of the "child-friendly" language she has developed for effectively communicating with kids on prevention.
"Pattie Fitzgerald has a great voice for children, she talks about preventative measures and is a great speaker," says Borders. "She's a leader in the field we know her experience and knowledge will benefit our audience."
In addition to being a radio webcast, "Peas In Their Pods" is a non-profit organization raising awareness of the problem abducted children, particularly within the African-American community. According to Borders, who presides over the organization, "Over 40% of children abducted are African-American, and a huge number of these cases fail to get media attention that would be so beneficial in helping find them."
Fitzgerald shares, "I am so pleased to join Gaétane Borders and Janice Lowery on the Peas In Their Pods radio program. Peas In Their Pods is bringing to light much needed attention to the plight of missing children in our country. I'm thrilled to be able to contribute to their cause by sharing some prevention education with their listeners to keep all our children safe."
Pattie Fitzgerald is a mother and a certified child safety educator who began teaching predator awareness programs in 2001, after learning a Level 3 registered sex offender had been released into her community. Her organization, Safely Ever After, Inc. provides adult seminars and age-appropriate children's workshops on child sexual abuse prevention. Considered a subject matter media expert on child predator safety, Ms. Fitzgerald has been featured on "Good Morning America," "CNN Headline News," "MSNBC," "The Los Angeles Times," and in numerous national and local magazines, news, and radio programs.
