Local Chiropractors Gives Holiday Support for Foster Care Charity

Pasadena Charity Receives Holiday Help for Children and Families in Crisis.

Pasadena, CA, December 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- During the holidays many of us have much to be thankful for—health, jobs, family, and friends. Over 33,000 children in Los Angeles County, however, have challenges that can make this time of year not so joyful. For those children served by Hillsides, a foster care children’s charity in Pasadena that also serves families in crisis living in Los Angeles County, they will see a brighter holiday with the help of local chiropractors.

“Many children who are in foster care homes or who are separated from their families need our help,” said Chiropractor Dennis Buckley of University Health Center in Pasadena. Buckley, for the fourth consecutive year, has supported the children’s charity serving Los Angeles County by offering patients, “during the week of December 15th to the 20th, to bring in a new unwrapped toy and receive chiropractic treatment on us.”

“You will help to put a smile on a child’s face and in their heart,” said Buckley. “You will receive a life-enhancing chiropractic treatment to reduce your stress and boost your immune system and the joy of contribution to a worthy cause.”

Healthworks Chiropractic in Pasadena also offered patients incentives for bringing an unwrapped gift to support Hillsides.

For many of these foster care children, the joy and excitement of Christmas morning is diminished by the fact that they are not living with their families and have suffered traumatic experiences in their childhood.

“Thank God for Hillsides and other agencies that care for children and families. Please find it in your heart to reach out a little to help these beautiful children. If you bless them, you too will be blessed,” added Buckley.

Buckley suggests that individuals interested in donating and receiving chiropractic treatment call and schedule an appointment as times fill up fast. New patients can also bring in a new unwrapped toy and receive the first day services, consultation, exam and treatment ($125 value) for their toy donation. They must be referred by a current patient or let them know you read about it in the newspaper to receive this offer. Call University Health Center – Pasadena at
