New Toast Podcast Presents Holiday Gift Ideas to Triangle Businesses and Individual Donors
Raleigh, NC, December 20, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Mary Freeman, president and CEO of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities, has announced the release of a podcast discussing plans for the 24th annual A Toast to the Triangle event. The podcasts features commentary from Maria Hernandez, director of development for The Tammy Lynn Center in Raleigh, and provides Triangle businesses and individual donors with new holiday gift ideas in the form sponsorships, donations and volunteer efforts dedicated to supporting this year’s Toast event. Hernandez addresses questions such as:

The 2009 Toast will be held on March 8, 2009 at the North Carolina State University McKimmon Center in Raleigh. Event proceeds will benefit the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, which in turn supports programs and services of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities.
The event offers guests samples from over 40 of the area’s finest restaurants, caterers and purveyors of fine wines and specialty beers, as well as friendly competition among the participants. The 2008 Toast surpassed its fundraising goal and raised $212,000, and more than 1,200 people were in attendance. Last year’s single largest donation came in the form of an anonymous donation totaling $15,000.
