Littleton, CO, December 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Pawfriendly Landscapes donated a landscape design, landscape consult and an autographed book of "Pawfriendly Landscapes - How to Share the Turf When Your Backyard Belongs to Barney," to the Tessa Paprocki Hope Fund's silent auction on Friday, December 19, 2008 at Dakota Ridge High School in Littleton, Colorado. Ms. Paprocki is a twenty-eight year old Littleton resident who was diagnosed with breast cancer after delivering her first baby boy, Landon, in October, 2008.
Tessa found a lump in her breast when she was 7-months pregnant. Her doctor told her it was a clogged milk duct. However, days after her C-section, she returned to the hospital with swelling and pain and when they undid her staples, they found her breast cancer had spread to her bones, liver and lymph nodes which is now in stage four.
Elizabeth Bublitz, owner of Pawfriendly Landscapes, says, "This really touched me because I grew up in Littleton, I really wanted to contribute something to her cause. It's such a sad story about such a blessed time in a family's life that has turned tragic. The community is behind her and her family and hope she can overcome this illness."
Since she cannot work with her illness, she and her fiance have medical bills in the hundred of thousands to pay. Her family and friends held a fundraiser for her at Dakota Ridge since she is an alumni of the high school. Food, drinks, alumni basketball game and silent auction were part of the night.
