Trade Show Emporium Releases Carbon Offset Numbers for 2008
Trade Show Emporium releases 2008 purchases of renewable energy with Green Merchant Alliance. Trade Show Emporium purchased nearly 3,000 kilowatt hours of energy, equivalent to 4,000 pounds of carbon.
Denver, CO, December 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Trade Show Emporium, an industry leader in trade show display manufacturing and consulting, has released its end-of-year energy numbers with Green Merchant Alliance.
Since joining the Green Merchant Alliance in July 2008, Trade Show Emporium has purchased 2,914 kilowatt hours of renewable energy or the equivalent to 4,073 pounds of carbon dioxide.
“Trade Show Emporium’s partnership with the Green Merchant Alliance is just one of the many ways that our company is giving back to the environment,” said Trade Show Emporium President, Willis Wood, Jr. “We have taken a participatory role in supporting the effort to make an impact on the global climate by reducing our environmental footprint.”
Trade Show Emporium joined forces with the Green Merchant Alliance in an effort to make a tangible difference on a consistent basis. Trade Show Emporium gives a portion of its sales to the Green Merchant Alliance, who in turn purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (REC), which are then used to fund clean energy projects.
If this rate continues through July 2009, Trade Show Emporium will have purchased 34,968 kwh of energy. This is the equivalent to 51,039 pounds of carbon or the absorption of 25.8 acres of trees.
“We have a commitment at Trade Show Emporium of not only providing outstanding service, but doing all we can to help with the environment,” Wood said.
Trade Show Emporium’s partnership with the Green Merchant Alliance is one of many ways the company is helping the environment. Other environmentally friendly efforts include offering green trade show displays, a used trade show display recycling service and include alternative energy sources in its downtown office.
