iPeriod's Newest Release for iPhone Takes Guess Work Out of Menstruation

Tailored to customers' needs and requests, iPeriod offers women a modern way of tracking menstruation on the iPhone, complete with alerts, password protection, notes, and a calendar view.

Silicon Valley, CA, December 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- iPeriod, an iPhone period tracker app from Winkpass Creations, records dates and notes associated with women's monthly menstruation cycles and provides users with statistics, alerts and a password protection option to ensure privacy. After data from at least two cycles has been entered, iPeriod reports statistics, including next expected period, average cycle length, average duration and a forecast of the next twelve cycles. Women also have the option of recording notes for each day of the month. Notes may be custom notes or those selected from pre-defined values, such as flow, mood, cramps and love connections.

Since the first release of iPeriod in September 2008 customer feedback has helped to shape the content of the latest release. "iPeriod started out with the option to takes one continuous note for each cycle, but what customers really wanted was the option to record notes and symptoms every day," explains Cheryl Atkinson-Derman, co-founder of Winkpass Creations. iPeriod now allows notes to be recorded daily, and graphically represents the notes and symptoms in a calendar view, giving users a visual overview of their cycles.

iPeriod is used by women of various ages, including those who track their periods while trying to conceive and those who are not currently interested in pregnancy. "We have even received emails from men who track their wife's or girlfriend's periods who have great suggestions for us!"

Tired of tracking menstruation on paper calenders, Cheryl came up with the idea for iPeriod. She believed that the iPhone would be the ideal platform for the modern, busy woman, who appreciates information at her fingertips. Based on the popularity of iPeriod to date, other women agree.

Husband and wife team, Leon and Cheryl Atkinson-Derman, founded Winkpass Creations in 2008, and spend their nights developing apps for the iPhone. Leon is a software engineer by day, and Cheryl is a stay-at-home mom who previously worked as an elementary school teacher and web designer.
