About the Book (Excerpts & Info)
Warren Smith led a 50-year career as a country club golf professional, record-setting player and legendary instructor of the game. Warren was viewed by many in the industry as a model for other club professionals, those tireless men and women who work and teach at private clubs, resorts, and municipal courses around the country. His quiet style of leadership set an enduring example for hundreds of players, junior golfers, and other golf professionals, even as he played with many titans of golf such as Arnold Palmer, Byron Nelson, Sam Snead, Hale Irwin, Dow Finsterwald, and Lee Trevino. In his humble, self-effacing way, Warren had a huge impact on others. This biography features engaging and amusing stories from a career led--and a life lived--in the full.
Deftly constructed at 184 pages, The Pro's Pro: Warren Smith, Golf Professional: Lessons on Life and Golf from the Ol' Pro at Cherry Hills Country Club is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Biography & Autobiography - Sports & Recreation category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, The Pro's Pro meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $19.95.
