Kazuaki Sasame Promoted to Executive Officer, Overseas Sales Division for Nissan Diesel Motor Company

Irving, TX, December 31, 2008 --(PR.com)-- After 4 years as president of Nissan Diesel America, Inc., Kazuaki Sasame has been promoted to Executive Officer in charge of the Overseas Sales Division, of Nissan Diesel Motor Company based on an announcement from Mr. Satoru Takeuchi, president of Nissan Diesel Motor Company, Japan. The Overseas Sales Division has responsibility for export sales to all markets outside Japan with the exception of Asia, which is coordinated by Volvo’s Asia Truck Organization (ATO).

Nissan Diesel Motor Company is now a member of the AB Volvo Group alongside Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks. Nissan Diesel will be dedicating additional resources to the growth of world truck markets including North America. Nissan Diesel Motor Company has established an aggressive target for the export business and North America represents a key market for this growth.

Mr. Sasame, as Executive Officer for Overseas Sales, is well suited for this challenge. He has gained first-hand experience as president of Nissan Diesel America and he has represented UD TRUCKS in several other world markets.

Mr. Sasame will be maintaining his position as president of NDA until he has time to evaluate an appropriate replacement. In the Nissan Diesel organization, Mr. Sasame will report to Claes Svedberg, Senior Managing Director, Overseas Sales Division.
