SBS Group Brightens Holiday for Women & Children
Woodbridge, NJ, January 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On Tuesday, December 23rd, SBS Group was overjoyed to donate presents, gift cards, and toys to mothers and children seeking refuge from domestic violence. Women Aware is a private, non-profit agency providing services to those affected by domestic violence. The counseling services are free of charge and their current facility gives shelter to ten families. It is the leading domestic violence agency for Middlesex County and has been servicing those in need for over thirty years.

Women Aware began in 1979 as an offshoot of the counseling service Women Helping Women. The first shelter was a small, rented facility that held only three families. Women Aware grew rapidly, however, and within one year opened the first building with room for six to eight families. Incorporated in 1984, Women Aware has steadily expanded their services.
