Deputies Give One ‘Ride’ He Seeks After Call from Sonitrol Pacific

Snohmish, WA, January 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- After Sonitrol Pacific detected suspicious activity, Snohomish County Sheriff‘s Deputies arrested a man claiming he broke into a Washington middle school to call for a ride December 23.

Operator Kristine Etheridge received a signal activation from the school’s portable and called deputies. Next, Etheridge contacted a representative from the school to inform him of the activity. He asked she cancel the dispatch and continue to monitor the system for further activity. Etheridge did so. She listened to real-time audio streaming from the school’s security system and soon heard a voice followed my more activations. She called deputies again.

Deputies arrived at the school and located a 19-year-old man. The suspect told officers he broke into the facility to call his girlfriend for a ride. He was taken into custody.
