Acker, from Compton, California, attended Pepperdine University. He ranks 20th in schoolhistory with 1,273 career points. He also ranks fifth in three-point percentage (.411) and seventhin steals (133). Acker played three seasons for the Waves and made the All-WCC first team in2005 and honorable mention in 2003 and 2004.
Detroit selected Acker in the second round of the 2005 NBA draft as the 60th overall pick. He appeared in five games with the Pistons during the 2005-06 season.
The 6-foot-5, 207-pound Acker has played overseas for two seasons. He averaged 6.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1 assist in 30 games for FC Barcelona in 2007-08. He previouslyplayed for Olympiakos in Greece, with14.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 2006-07 Euroleague play.
Dragic grew up in Slovenia. He was selected by the San Antonio Spurs as the 45th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. His draft rights were traded to the Phoenix Suns, where he signed in October 2008.
Dragic won the Under 20 European Championship with the Slovenian National Team in 2004, and was selected to the Slovenian League All-Star Game in 2006. He won the Slovenian League and Cup with Olympia Ljubljana in 2008, and won the Adriatic Leaguewith Olympia Ljubljana in 2008.
