Popular Special Diet Website Releases Free Diet and Health Journal Download

Hollywood, CA, January 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Every year health takes top honors on millions of New Year’s resolution lists. Whether it is for weight loss, to overcome chronic illness, or in pursuit of long term health, many of us are attempting to alter our diets. To aid in these efforts, the website www.godairyfree.org has released an updated version of their free diet and health journal download.

The journal was created in conjunction with the site’s Dairy Free Challenge, a 10-day dairy elimination test to see if milk products may be leading to food sensitivity symptoms, such as digestive issues, congestion or respiratory problems, fatigue, headaches, hives, rashes, or even acne. While various food allergy and intolerance tests are available, many doctors recommend food elimination diets as the “gold standard” for identifying food allergies, intolerances, or general sensitivities. They tend to be much more reliable in relating symptoms to specific foods, and a simple change in diet is much less expensive than blood or skin tests. However, it is always recommended to speak with a physician before undergoing any change in diet, particularly when a severe food allergy may be of concern.

Beyond potential milk issues, the journal can also be used for diet tracking in pursuit of weight loss, identifying other food sensitivities, or general health. As noted by author of Go Dairy Free: The Guide and Cookbook, Alisa Fleming, “I have been dairy-free for many years, however, I still use this journal with regularity to provide information to my doctor and to help identify other pitfalls in my diet that may be thwarting my overall health efforts.”

The journal includes 2 weeks of full page entries, or one page for each of the 14 days. One half of each page is devoted to documenting what you consume during the day, while the other side lists out potential daily symptoms to help track their severity and identify any food consumption related patterns. For those who wish to track their diets for more than 2 weeks, the journal can be reprinted or downloaded at any time at www.godairyfree.org.

GoDairyFree.org is an informational website for dairy-free living. It was created to aid those who choose to or must follow a milk-free lifestyle for casein or other milk protein allergies, lactose intolerance, or other health, religious, or social reasons. The website includes recipes, product reviews, news, health information, daily blog posts, and helpful product list and e-cookbook downloads.
