"System engineering and thinking are not new and came into its own after World War II. It gave us our modern world that we take for granted like air travel, telephones, freeways, satellites and many other things. However something happened in the 70's and the USA panicked. As a result the USA shifted towards a policy of using the markets and unregulated business to solve all our problems. But the USA may not have been doing anything wrong. It is just that others were digging out of the rubble of World War II and becoming equal partners with the USA.
There is more to life than magic bullet technologies, incentives, markets, regulation, deregulation, self-interest, grass roots, denial. This solution is for everyone everywhere as we all engage in trying to build everything - from software to cities.
Everyone everywhere would benefit if system engineering and thinking were reintroduced into our world. The benefit just might translate into humanities survival in the next 100 years. My book description is very direct if we fall down in these areas our only alternatives are war, revolution, and genocide as famine and want grip a naturally increasing human population."

Walt has held various government, defense, and commercial high technology positions in the past 30 years. He has published and presented at several technical conferences. Starting from New Jersey, going to California, then Florida, and returning back to New Jersey Walt has a very broad and deep understanding of the state of engineering and technology in the United States.
