New Book Chronicles the Struggles of the Terminally Ill and Their Families

In Your Face Ink recently published Beautiful Sadness: The Journey of Hope and Compassion Through Life and Loss by Joy Jennings, a hospice nurse.

Glendale, AZ, January 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- In Your Face Ink, LLC is pleased to announce the release of their new book Beautiful Sadness: The Journey of Hope and Compassion Through Life and Loss by Joy Jennings, a hospice nurse. Jennings’ heart-tugging narrative chronicles the lives of her patients through their final weeks or days of their terminal illnesses. The author delves into the feelings of her patients, their family members and herself as they question the meaning of life and the meaning of death.

“Joy poignantly captures the emotion—the grief, the anger and the occasional relief—that comes during a long-term illness followed by a death,” said Laura C. Browne, president of In Your Face Ink. “Beautiful Sadness is different than the books we’ve published in the past, but we feel its raw emotion and insights provide readers with a chance to explore something most people go through eventually. We hope the book tugs at people’s hearts and makes them better understand the dying process…for everyone involved—professional staff, family and the ill person.”

Joy Jennings has more than three and a half decades of nursing experience, where she has helped the dying and their families. After experiencing major personal losses, she made a professional commitment to specialize in hospice and bereavement services. Ms. Jennings is a Certified Hospice RN and an experienced group support facilitator for primary care givers and bereavement.

Beautiful Sadness is available for $16.95 from In Your Face Ink’s website, www.inyourfaceink.com or from most major retailers. In Your Face Ink publishes quirky, creative and educational books and greetings cards.
