Kids’ Coloring Contest on the Chinese Dress at Elite Dresses

The QiPao is China’s national dress. It is worn by women and girls on special holidays. In the US, the QiPao is commonly worn during Chinese New Year, Chinese weddings and birthdays.

Rowland Heights, CA, January 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A specialty store for little girl’s dresses is holding a coloring contest for all children to kick off the the celebration of 2009 Chinese New Year of the Ox.

Themed, “Appreciating the Chinese National Costume All Year Round” EliteDresses.com is launching the contest today as a prelude to Chinese New Year on January 26, 2009. The contest aims 1) to encourage children and families to appreciate the QiPao’s beauty, and 2) to encourage wearing the Chinese national costume on all special occasions as a tribute to Chinese roots.

The contest is open to all girls and boys 10 years old and below. Contest starts today and ends January 26, 2006.

Write the artist's name, age, parent's name and E-Mail address, and home city and state at the back of the entry. The children can then color the page with their selected coloring materials.

All entries received on or before January 26, 2009 (regardless of post date) qualify for the judging.

Criteria for judging is : Cuteness – 90%, and Neatness – 10%.
