Trinity Mirror Launches New Platform for Regional Jobsites
London, United Kingdom, January 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Trinity Mirror has relaunched its network of local jobsites using a new platform developed by industry leaders Madgex.
The new platform provides a range of new features including mini sites, enhanced recruiter branding, keyword sponsorship and a CV database.
It will also enhance the usability and speed of the jobsites, with a view to increasing audience volumes and responses for recruiters.
A number of Trinity Mirror’s local recruitment sites will be joining the new platform including JobsWales.co.uk, Jobs-Cheshire.co.uk, Jobs-Midlands.com, Jobs-Merseyside.co.uk, JobsNorthEast.co.uk, Jobs-NorthWest.co.uk and ScotCareers.co.uk.
This network of jobsites is complemented by Trinity Mirror’s established media brands and the launch of the new network will be supported by an extensive advertising campaign across Trinity Mirror's market leading regional newspapers, websites and recruitment platforms, which reach 45% of all adults in their regional footprint (Source: JICREG Oct 2008) and include The Western Mail, Liverpool Echo, Newcastle Evening Gazette and the Birmingham Mail.
Chris Bunyan, Digital Director, Trinity Mirror Regionals, said: “Across our portfolio of recruitment sites we are now reaching a significant proportion of UK jobseekers and this investment will allow us to build on this market share by offering a world class product to candidates.
“Our advertisers will also benefit from even higher response levels as candidates will find it easier to search and apply for jobs.”
The Madgex platform has proven successful for other major UK publishers including Emap and Guardian Jobs, and recently won an OnRec Game Changing Recruiting Technology Award.
“Our jobsite technology delivers competitive advantage and enhanced user experience to some of the UK’s most successful online recruitment businesses” said Madgex CEO Simon Conroy.
“This ongoing partnership with Trinity Mirror will differentiate their jobsites from the competition and allow them to continually improve and build on their recruitment software and services.”
Trinity Mirror now commands a large proportion of the UK’s online recruitment audience.
The regional recruitment sites currently receive around 585,000 unique users per month and more than nine million page impressions (Source: Omniture August 2008).
The other recruitment arm of the business -Trinity Mirror Digital Recruitment (TMDR)- which focuses on sector-specific recruitment now has over 3.5 million registered candidates and receives over 1.8 million visits and 443,000 applications a month.
Trinity Mirror also owns a 50% stake in Fish4jobs.co.uk, which has a total audience figure of over three million unique users per month.
Trinity Mirror plc is one of the UK's largest newspaper publishers, with an award winning portfolio of more than 350 media brands.
