GoodGirlPR Contributes to Brooklyn’s Premiere of “Notorious”
GoodGirlPR Hosts Gift Suite for the Cast of the Film.
New York, NY, January 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- GoodGirlPR’s efforts accented gift bags for the cast of the new biographic Biggie movie, "Notorious.” The bags were distributed at a private screening of the film in Christopher Wallace's hometown of Brooklyn, NY. The affair was a media frenzy right before everyone filed into the Brooklyn Academy of Music theatre to see the extremely well put together screenplay. Sponsored by Hot97 and The Source, the event was nothing short of incredible.
Members of the film in attendance were the director, George Tillman, Jr.; Jamal “Gravy” Woolard who portrayed Biggie; Sean “Puffy” Combs’ counterpart, Derek Luke; Antonique Smith who plays the role of Faith Evans; Anthony Mackie, who depicts Tupac and Dennis L.A. White who acts as D-Roc in the film.
Jessica Kagan Cushman Jewelry, Zirh Holdings, My Fresh Shirt, Blue Star Jets, Dropps, Dee and Ricky and Jemma Kidd Makeup School were some of the companies who donated items. DJ Shogun and DJ Driis of Headshell Ltd. provided a musical gift. Their "B.I.G. Taste of Brooklyn" mixtape features numerous Biggie hits such as "Who Shot Ya", "Juicy" and "Can't You See" to name a few. In addition, Marco Art created a magnificent 70"x90" portrait of the hip hop icon that was displayed and signed by the cast and members of Junior Mafia. GoodGirlPR will be hosting a charity auction for the piece in the near future.
Biggie's impact on the world is still felt through some of the music we listen to today. The life and times of Christopher Wallace has been symbolic for years and will continue to be forever. GoodGirlPR was honored to be a part of such an important and historic episode.
