O’Guin Decorative Arts Selected to Participate in High-Profile 2008 Atlanta Christmas House Event for Charity
O’Guin Decorative Arts is Excited to Announce Their Recent Selection to Showcase Their Interior Design Talents and Participate in the 2008 Atlanta Christmas House a Well-Known and Prestigious Charity Event in Atlanta, Georgia.
Naples, FL, January 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- O’Guin Decorative Arts is excited to announce that they were recently selected to showcase their interior design talents and participate in a well-known and prestigious charity event in Atlanta, Georgia.
Cory O’Guin, a principle member of O’Guin Decorative Arts, and project leader, Pablo Esquivel, volunteered their time for the 2008 Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Christmas House to benefit the Alliance Children’s Theatre.
O’Guin Decorative Arts was approached by Stan Topol, of the award-winning design firm, Stand Topol and Associates of Atlanta, Georgia, to donate their services and assist with the design of the library in the Christmas House.
Cory O’Guin says, “It was an honor to be asked to take part in such a prominent design project. We didn’t hesitate to donate our time, since we know the money raised through the charity event will be put to good use at the Alliance Children’s Theatre in Atlanta.”
O’Guin and Esquivel spent four days at the designer showcase project in Atlanta. They completed the transformation of the library ceiling, by utilizing Italian plaster with wax in a warm champagne yellow hue. Dimensions, Inc. of West Palm Beach, Florida donated the plaster for the project.
“We chose this type of surface finish because of its richness and warmth. Polished Italian plaster enhances the architectural design of the library and provides a good counterpoint to the paneled wood design,” O’Guin said.
Stan Topol and O’Guin Decorative Arts have collaborated on several interior design projects, from Naples to Miami. Topol’s distinctive style has been showcased in many national publications and he has received numerous awards for his signature work. In 1997, Topol was inducted into the Designers Hall of Fame.
The 2008 Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Christmas House is a 12,700 square foot mansion in the prestigious Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta. The house was designed by Harrison Design Associates and is situated on nearly two acres of highly visible and desirable real estate.
O’Guin Decorative Arts has been operating in Naples for seven years creating and installing custom wallpapers, fine finishes and textures, as well as natural earth and lime plasters. The company utilizes Old World techniques and internationally-recognized imported materials to develop finishes that complement the fabrics and surfaces of the home.
O’Guin Decorative Arts is a second-generation decorative arts studio. For over 25 years, the skilled team of trained artisans has treated each installation as an original work of art.
The team scours the world for unique materials and processes, incorporating them into their work with meticulous attention to detail and unsurpassed creativity. O’Guin Decorative Arts may be reached at 239-434-9999 and online at oguindecorativearts.com
