Trace Ltd. Event Design Specialists is Expanding During Economic Uncertainty and Hires World-Renowned Floral Designer, Cory Lonsert

Event Design Specialists, based in Grandview Heights, Ohio is doing just that and tackling the down turn head on with a new retail concept, Fresh – Flowers & Events at 1629 W. 1st Ave, Grandview Heights, adjacent to the Trace Ltd. offices.

Opened on December 1, 2008; Fresh – Flowers & Events is a European Chic Floral Boutique full-service flower shop with the emphasis on contemporary designs and a unique customer experience in the Columbus market. “It’s about the flowers and the love affair our customers have with their beauty, ” states Trace Kingham, President/CEO of Trace Ltd. “We want our customers to be inspired and interact with the flowers touch, feel, and smell and really engage in something exciting and fun!”

“Opening Fresh – Flowers & Events is Trace Ltd.’s approach to becoming more of an open brand with our community. The concept gives us the opportunity to blend our current event design services with our flower customers, introducing our designs services (weddings, parties and corporate events) with our floral décor.” Fresh – Flowers & Events will offer design classes and seminars, and will bring the concept to retirement facilities and educational institutions looking for new and innovative curriculum offerings.

Fresh – Flowers & Events is based on the European concept of a flower bucket shop, minimal design with tasteful décor, allowing the flowers to be center stage. “Our goal is to increase our cash flow and revenue streams beyond our current client base and open doors that we wouldn’t have been able to open before opening Fresh,” says Trace Kingham.

Operating as a full-service flower shop, Fresh – Flowers & Events is meeting the needs of our customers by being open later in the evening for anyone needing an after work pick-up, Fresh offers 24/7 delivery and can take same-day orders up to 3 p.m. The boutique is open Tuesday – Friday from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. closed Sunday and by appointment on Monday’s. “If any of our customers need us, we have an emergency number on our answering system and we are prepared to respond as quickly as necessary to meet our customers needs,” states Cory Lonsert, Floral Designer and Shop Manager.

Cory Lonsert will manage Fresh – Flowers & Events. Cory is AIFD (American Institute of Floral Designers) certified and comes to Fresh with an expansive flower background. With over ten years of event design and floral experience, Cory is a world-renowned floral designer whose accomplishments include Ohio State designer of the year 2002 and induction into the American Institute of Floral Designers 2003.

Most recently, Cory was the winner of the reality show “Making It Big” on Style Network. His designs have been featured in Flower magazine and he has apprenticed with some of the most well-known designers, including Preston Bailey, famous for creating floral designs for Oprah Winfrey and the who’s who of Hollywood and New York. “We’re extremely lucky to have found such a rare and unique talent in Columbus. Cory is the most talented flower designer I have ever worked with and know he will make a huge impact on the Columbus market by broadening the designs and expectations of our clients. No one is producing looks as unique as this,” says Trace Kingham.
