The Life Science Lawyer: Book Exploring Hybrid Professionals in Law and Healthcare/Life Sciences Released
A book exploring the careers of hybrid professionals holding both law and healthcare/life science degrees is now available. The title of the new book is: The Life Science Lawyer.
Indianapolis, IN, January 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Indiana author Erin Albert releases her fourth book exploring the less than obvious attraction between life science and law. Why have thousands of professionals from the life and healthcare sciences gone on to law school? What have these professionals done with their careers after achieving this hybrid educational background? Dr. Albert of Pharm LLC explores these questions in her new book entitled, The Life Science Lawyer.
"As a pharmacist beginning law school last fall, I wanted to read a book about dual degree professionals," said Dr. Albert. "My purpose in compiling interviews and sharing this knowledge is to demonstrate to healthcare and life science professionals that there are countless options available when considering a life long career path. In the future, life sciences and healthcare are only going to become increasingly more complex, and therefore, there will be a potential need for professionals with a dual background to understand these complexities, from many different points of view."
Albert interviewed over 30 professionals who hold both life science or healthcare degrees and law degrees. In her research, she learned about their different rationales for their dual degrees, the new career opportunities from the diverse education, and the interesting and sometimes surprising paths their lives and careers have taken. Albert also compiled the wisdom and advice imparted for other life scientists or lawyers contemplating this degree combination.
“I had a friend, a fellow lawyer, who felt trapped by her job,” said Jennifer Ruby, interviewee. “She couldn’t see how her law degree could translate into other careers. Dr. Albert’s book will give lawyers and scientists, who want more out of their career, ideas and examples for consideration from those who have been there, done that.”
Dr. Erin Albert’s The Life Science Lawyer is available now through its publisher, Indiana-based AuthorHouse, online at their company website: http://www.authorhouse.com/BookStore/ItemDetail~bookid~55547.aspx. The book will also be available to traditional booksellers in 30-45 days.
