American Aldes has taken this a step further by anticipating forthcoming building code changes and engineering products that most effectively meet the impending new requirements. The new line of ENERGY STAR rated Ventergy® Series fans are specifically engineered to be a cost effective means to meet the ventilation requirements of ASHRAE 62.2 that are being adopted into building codes, and required for Energy Star and LEEDS certified homes.
As an example, the California Energy Commission adopted the 2008 Title 24 Residential Compliance Manual on December 17th, 2008 and builders have until August 1st 2009 to be in full compliance. The new code requires the ASHRAE 62.2 standard, and has significant changes in ventilation requirements for single family and low-rise multifamily dwelling units for acceptable Indoor Air Quality. This new code is a great step forward in providing necessary clean air in the newer energy efficient homes being built much tighter than homes of the past.
