We Auto Care Launches Safer Summer Fun Drowning Prevention Campaign
This July and August the Farmer Automotive group based in Louisville, Kentucky will conduct an advertising campaign which focuses on drowning prevention. The campaign is designed and implemented by Traffic Builders, founders of We Auto Care.
Louisville, KY, June 22, 2006 --(PR.com)-- We Auto Care(SM), a non-profit organization based in Louisville, KY, seeks to help car dealerships across the nation promote children’s water safety in their advertising campaigns this summer.
A locally owned direct-marketing firm, Traffic Builders, formed We Auto Care(SM) to join together the resources and influence of community-minded auto dealers to improve the safety and well being of children in our communities through innovative programs that show “we care.”
This July and August the Farmer Automotive Group (which consists of six automotive dealers in the Louisville area, including Star Ford, Oxmoor Toyota, Mazda, Lincoln Mercury, Hyundai and Isuzu) will conduct an advertising campaign in which the focus will be drowning prevention and safer water use.
“We want to take our organizations to the next level by giving back to the community,” states Traffic Builders President and founder of We Auto Care, Chuck Patton. “We can make a big impact. Automotive dealers spend thousands of dollars to persuade customers to choose them when they make service and vehicle purchases. The Farmer Group has chosen to invest that money in the community in a way that will benefit the customer and the community for the longer run.”
Drownings happen each year all over the country and do not discriminate by race or economic status. Drownings remain the number one cause of accidental death for children under age 5. This reality has inspired the mission of this community outreach program – brought to the public by the support of the concerned auto dealer. Participating dealers are using their advertising dollars and resources to promote awareness for this crucial life-saving campaign.
These concerned auto dealers have set out to show their community how much they are invested in the life of the community. The dealerships’ families of employees are not just employees but are participants in their local communities, and they are striving to build stronger, safer places for their children to thrive.
To further efforts to educate children about safer summer fun, We Auto Care(SM) and the Swim for Life Foundation are partnering with Finis Inc. to promote “The Safer 3 Program.” Specifically, a collaborative effort created an activity booklet and an educational, musical CD directed to children. The CD makes survive time and quality time out of drive time in the family vehicle.
