TriFactor Awarded Florida Project for GTECH Printing Corp
TriFactor awarded project in Fla.
Lakeland, FL, January 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- TriFactor, LLC, a leading integrator of material handling systems, was recently awarded a multi-million dollar project by GTECH Printing Corp., an international producer of scratch-off lottery tickets.
As part of the contract, TriFactor is developing an Instant Ticket Packaging System for GTECH's new 100,000-square-foot facility in Lakeland, FL. The operation will automatically sort, wrap, track, and package printed lottery tickets. The system will be a high-throughput process using advanced material handling systems designed to meet the unique operating conditions that accompany high-speed printing.
TriFactor is providing the conveyor, void separation, and shrink wrapper interfaces, as well as the system operating software. TriFactor is also responsible for the mechanical and electrical installation of the system as well as the software design and implementation.
GTECH's new facility is set to begin operation in the spring of 2009 and will produce an estimated 11 billion tickets each year. "After exploring a number of options, TriFactor proved to be the right partner for us," said Ross Dalton, President of GTECH Printing Corp. "We are excited about what we will be able to accomplish together and we are especially pleased to be working with yet another local resource."
Overseeing the project for Lakeland, FL-based TriFactor are Greg Tuohy (System Sales Engineer), Richard Gillespie (Project Manager) and Ed Holzman (Electrical Project Engineer).
"We appreciate the confidence GTECH has shown in choosing TriFactor to design and build this all-important component for their operation," said JJ Phelan, COO for TriFactor. "And we look forward to working with them on future projects as they arise."
TriFactor's headquarters is located at 2401 Drane Field Road in Lakeland, FL, and can be reached at 800-282-8468. For more information, visit www.trifactor.com
