New Sunglasses from the Heritage Collection from Porsche Design
Based on legendary models from the 70s and 80s.
Ontario, CA, January 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Porsche Design presents a sunglasses collection that reissues two legendary models from the 70s and 80s with modern technology: The Exclusive spectacles and the "Folding" spectacles. True to style, Porsche Design provides the classics in the original case.
Porsche Design has a long history in the area of sunglasses. In 1978, Porsche Design presented the Exclusive spectacles, one of the most successful sunglasses in the world. 30 years later, Porsche Design is reissuing the pilot spectacles. The model P'8478 combines the characteristic look of the seventies with the modern high-tech material titanium, which makes it especially light, flexible, and stable. The authentic retro look of the pilot spectacles is also reflected in the colours. The model is available in silver or gold. In addition, it is convincing due to the perfect workmanship and the replaceable lenses made of unbreakable polycarbonate.
The "Folding" sunglasses already caused a stir in 1980 with their innovative folding mechanism. The model P'8480 of the Heritage Collection is a reproduction this design legend. In no time at all, they are folded down to a size of six by six centimetres, and the model fits in any jacket pocket in the original case made of genuine leather. The ultra-light material titanium gives the P'8480 outstanding wearing comfort and reliable stability. The polycarbonate lenses guarantee extensive UV protection.
Porsche Design is a luxury brand with particular focus on technically inspired products. The brand was founded in 1972 by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, and since then its products have stood for functional, timeless and purist design. The product portfolio includes classic men's accessories, a sport and fashion collection as well as electronic products and a men's fragrance range. The products are designed in the Porsche Design Studio in Zell am See, Austria, and sold worldwide in own stores, shop-in-shops, high quality department stores and exclusive retail outlets.
