Convergence Training Launches New MSHA Part 46 Compliancy Website
Convergence Training launches MSHASafetyTraining.com, a new website designed to provide online resources and showcase compliancy tools for MSHA Part 46.
Camas, WA, January 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Convergence Training, a division of Capstone Technology, announces the launch of MSHASafetyTraining.com, a new website designed to provide online resources and showcase MSHA Part 46 compliancy tools.
Convergence Training’s online resource was born from the realization that many in the surface mining industry are confused and frustrated by the relatively open-ended Part 46 requirements.
While MSHA generally views Part 46 as a set of flexible, intuitive regulations, Convergence consistently receives requests from surface mines and mining contractors for help understanding Part 46 requirements.
Convergence’s MSHASafetyTraining.com cuts through much of the bureaucratic clutter surrounding Part 46 by focusing on its three core requirements: a Training Plan, Required Training, and a Record of Training. In short, mines and mining contractors need a document that defines the training to be done, training in specific subjects, and a document certifying that training was completed.
“Response to the site has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Randy Kohltfarber, Convergence Training’s Director of Product Development. “Sales of our compliancy tools have increased significantly and customers are thanking us for helping them understand what they need to do. It’s really gratifying to know that in addition to offering training tools and compliancy products that improve safety, we’re being recognized for contributing to an overall better understanding of Part 46.“
